iPhone 5s?

Hello again... sorry for being off so much. -.-

But I would just like to point out that the new iphone is coming out. God Apple, I can't even keep up. It puts my boring old iPhone 4 to shame. And I'm not trying to sound like a spoilt rich kid.

Personally I think it's pretty cool with the new fingerprint security code thing, and the gold colour makes it look really modern. But honestly, that's really the only thing new about it, right?

Oh, and iOS 7, which basically updates the whole look of the icons.

But I can't help thinking that iOS 7 makes all the icons look a bit Android-y. Don't you think? They're very flat. But it does make the icons appear to be floating, which is kinda cool.

So what are your thoughts? Leave a comment below.

baiiiiii!

And now you don't

I'd just like to point out that NZ is always late for things. Apart from like, the time, everything is late.

Including movies.

'Now You See Me' is a movie released about 2 months ago in Australia, but has only just come out like, now. Honestly, it's just being shown in cinemas. I'm not even kidding.

But aside from that, it's a pretty darn good movie.

The four characters were very interesting, each with a different form of magic skill (escapism, card tricks, mentalism etc) and are brought together by a mysterious source. It was a good movie, but you did have to be quite quick on your feet to keep up. The tricks were astonishing but to have Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman) explain each trick for me made it even more astonishing. It's one thing to see a trick and another to perform it. What I didn't like was that it was slightly confusing, and at one point there were too many things going on at once that I just got confused. But that aside, I think that it's a good movie.

I don't think I just made any sense at all.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is watch it.

Go on.

Now.

(Oh wait, you probably have already seen it. In that case... watch it again.)

Teen Choice Awards

The Teen Choice Awards are tomorrow! Ah so excited.

But where I live (in the southern hemisphere) we won't be getting the TCA for at least a week. Sad or what?

But I can't wait anyway! I've already voted (For all the Pitch Perfect ones, obviously).

This is a short post just to remind you to vote haha.

I'm so cool. :-/

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA KENDRICK

I don't usually do these kind of posts, actually.

Today was Anna Kendrick's birthday (technically where I am, it isn't anymore. ) But I would just like to write about her because she is by far my most favourite actress ever.

I think I saw her fist in Twilight, but back then I didn't think much of her. It wasn't until I watched Pitch Perfect that I actually started to notice her more. Naturally, as one does, I followed her instagram and twitter and all things like.

I then watched a film called 'Rocket Science' about high school debating, and it is my favourite movie. EVER.  Anna does such a good job in it. And after endless hours of stalking and watching interviews and movie promos on youtube, I stumbled across a video which was her, at around age 12 or 13 singing 'Life Upon the Wicked Stage'. It was then I actually realised 'huh. this girl's got talent.'

So I watched all her movies. I was sick in bed so I watched each and every single one I could find. I don't regret it.

She is a huge inspiration to me because she is funny, and talented and absolutely gorgeous. She is the kind of person that isn't stalked by paparazzo but is not out of the limelight either. I want to be her. Why can't I be her. aaaaah. She has the best twitter ever - go follow her now. NOW

I am not just a fan, I am a Kendricker. If that's a thing.

I met my bff Anna (LOL) after we were discussing our love for Pitch Perfect and read the fanfiction I mentioned a few posts earlier. We really loved it so much.

So basically I just want to say a huge thank you to Anna Kendrick for what she's done for me, her inspiration has influenced me so much. I haven't met or been replied or retweeted to by her but one of my life goals is to meet Anna and tell her how wonderful she is.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA KENDRICK.

Sophia Grace Brownlee

This is another youtube-ish post. Kinda. Not really.

But for those of you who know Sophia Grace Brownlee, I have heard that she is going to star alongside the likes of Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and Anna Kendrick in a new film called "Into the Woods".

I just want to point out that she's kind really overrated.

I mean, no hate or anything, but I'm not sure that she can act. I heard that she was in a few episodes of 'Sam and Cat', but thats about it. Um...

For those of you who don't know who SGB is, she is a 10 (i think) year old girl who wears pink princess dresses and got famous after singing 'Super Bass' by Nicki Minaj on youtube. Yeah. She's that kinda girl. ( Of course, she did get a little help from Ellen Degeneres to meet some of her A-list buddies, like Nicki Minaj herself.) Watch her video here.

I get that she's a good singer and all (I'm not too much of a fan) but I don't understand how she, of all people will play Little Red Riding Hood in the movie (which I've heard has some inappropriate content for a 10 year old). If she was about,  I don't know, 13 or something I'd think this was ok given she'd have acting lessons, voice lessons and maturity. But 10? Too young.

Here are some lyrics from a song she will be singing in:

Think of that scrumptious carnality
Twice in one day-!
There's no possible way
To describe what you feel
When you're talking to your meal.

Carnality, according to the Mac dictionary means 'Relating to physical needs, esp. sexual needs and activities. C'mon, this girl is freaking 10.

A few years ago my friends wanted to audition for this role, but the person had to be 18+ to get the role. And this was just for a small community musical.

You can see why I think this is wrong. So very wrong.

Personally, I am excited about this movie because is has Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and Anna Kendrick (Today is actually her birthday in NZ time, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA) and they are really great actors. Really great. But I'm skeptical about Sophia. Hopefully she doesn't take the Lindsay/Amanda route and takes the Hilary route instead. But oh well. We'll have to see. Maybe my opinion will change after watching the movie. I don't know.

I'm feeling so rant-y today. LOL

mileyworld

so i' certain you've all seen miley cyrus's new music video. you must have. c'mon you're lying.

but in case you really haven't heres a link :P

so there is a lot i want to say. from the french fry skull to the pepto-bismol oozing out of her to the twerking, something has gotta change.

I was one of those kids who was in love with Hannah Montana. I have each episode on dvd and I still have a gigantic collage of her pictures i intricately cut out of magazines. I practically grew up with her.

But I watched the video and I nearly died.

I mean, I understand that she's grown up and all and whatever but still.  She doesn't have the butt for twerking and I just.. I can't. It is a really catchy song though. Its so catchy and interesting, to say the least. I get that she wants to move out of her so called "clean image" from disney, but I'm afraid she'll take the wrong turn like Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes (who were Disney and Nick stars respectively).

I'm really not trying to hate on her, but I just want her to know that she can grow up and not have to turn herself into some sort of slutty-ghetto chick.

that is all.

I actually have a lot more to say but I haven't the time now. So I might write about this a while later - we'll see.

c'est la vie.
